New to Grow
Using compassionate, evidence-based mental health care tailored to the unique needs of my clients, I specialize in helping adults of all ages navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, the complexities of ADHD, trauma, life transition and grief. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages clients to partner with me in their healing journey. I work with clients to help them develop practical strategies for long-term well-being. As a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I am passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I use a trauma-informed approach to help clients process past events, making them more tolerable and allowing a focus on present challenges. With the integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, and exposure therapy clients develop skills to help them overcome obstacles and achieve meaningful growth.
I work collaboratively with new clients to assist them in determining their treatment goals and then to start developing a plan for achieving their goals. The first session is primarily a time to start building a safe, supportive environment which includes the development of a good rapport and trust. By the end of the session, clients will have had the opportunity to express their specific issues/concerns and they will leave with an individualized plan of how they will reach their personal goals.
I believe that everyone is unique even if their concerns are not uncommon. In my practice, each client is heard, seen and valued. Clients are active participants in their treatment and will be empowered within the therapeutic process to utilize their own strengths and inner wisdom.
I have over 20 years experience working with individuals, couples and families. Life delivers expected and unexpected challenges, and I work well with clients whose goals are to feel empowered to manage life challenges and are focused on living their best lives regardless of what those hurdles may be.
CBT helps clients explore deep seeded core beliefs that continue to create unwanted thoughts and behaviors. New coping skills and strategies help the client learn to make the changes they want to see.
Mindfulness helps clients learn to stay in the present moment so that they can make the most favorable decisions for their lives
