(she/her)
I have been in the mental health and behavioral health field for 10 years. I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, older adults, and geriatrics. My most rewarding aspect of working with the individual served is ensuring that their physical and emotional state is addressed. I assist clients with identifying barriers and challenges, providing and exploring positive coping strategies, cognitive restructuring, resources, support, empathy, compassion, and effective quality of care to increase the client's likelihood of meeting their desired personal goals for success.
I creatively structures a therapeutic environment that increases client/therapist rapport, safety, and goal setting to identify effective, and positive solutions. During the therapeutic process, I provide support by listening to another person's thoughts and feelings to assist with both closeness and respect to assist clients with their stress. I typically provide homework I between sessions to help clients remain active in between sessions.
I would say that I'm a great listener, empathetic, and I like to take a more team approach when it comes to my clients' goals.
