I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who supports individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and everyday stress. I offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore what you’re going through and find practical ways to help you feel better. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more in control, more confident, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what brings you to therapy. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—there’s no pressure. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your concerns, your background, and what you’d like help with. We’ll also talk about your goals and what you hope to get out of therapy, and I’ll explain how I can support you. Most importantly, the first session is about making sure you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin working together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is my ability to balance structure with flexibility. I use evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, while tailoring my approach to meet each client’s individual needs, pace, and readiness for change. My experience in community mental health has strengthened my ability to work with individuals facing complex challenges, including trauma, instability, and high stress. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment while helping clients build practical, real-life skills they can use outside of sessions. I believe my ability to connect with clients, meet them where they are, and provide both support and concrete tools allows me to help clients feel empowered, more in control, and capable of making meaningful changes in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related experiences, and significant life stressors. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, but are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I also support clients who are looking to build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and increase confidence in managing daily challenges. I strive to meet clients where they are—whether they are just beginning to consider change or are actively working toward personal growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a type of therapy called CBT, which helps us understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. We’ll go at your pace and focus on what you’re dealing with, like stress, anxiety, depression, or past experiences. Together, we’ll notice the thoughts that come up for you, see whether they’re helpful, and practice new ways of thinking and coping so you can feel better and handle challenges.

EMDR

I use a therapy called EMDR, which helps your brain process and heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences. We’ll go at your pace and focus on what’s been bothering you. During sessions, I’ll guide you through recalling parts of those experiences while using gentle back-and-forth movements or other forms of stimulation to help your brain reprocess them. Over time, this can reduce the emotional intensity and help you feel more at ease and in control.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use a type of therapy called DBT, which helps you learn skills to manage intense emotions, cope with stress, and improve relationships. We’ll work at your pace and focus on what you’re going through. Together, we’ll practice skills like staying present in the moment, handling difficult feelings, and communicating more effectively so you can feel more in control and supported.

Motivational Interviewing

I use an approach called Motivational Interviewing, which helps you explore your own reasons for change. We’ll have open, supportive conversations about what’s important to you and what you want for your life. I’ll help you sort through any mixed feelings and build confidence so you can make choices that feel right for you.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a type of therapy called Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which focuses on your strengths and what’s working in your life. Instead of spending a lot of time on the problem, we’ll talk about your goals and the changes you’d like to see. Together, we’ll build on your existing skills and small successes to help you move toward the life you want.
