Hi, my name is Taniesha Hawkins. I have 10 years of experience, in which I maintain a private practice in Louisiana and offer the convenience of remote therapy sessions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is dedicated and passionate about serving individuals, adolescents and adults between the ages 13 to 65+. I am committed to providing a relationship that is non-judgmental and built on trust. I am compassionate about working with clients to improve functionality and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
I noticed that when I meet with clients for the first time, they are nervous and worried about being labeled. I always tell them don't look at it as a therapy session. Look at it as you're chatting with a partner/associate. In our first encounter, the client is expected to relax and be comfortable while we're getting to know each other and establish rapport.
I implement both Christian counseling and integrative therapy to tailor an approaches that best suites the client.
I am dedicated and passionate about serving adolescents and adults navigate their struggles with anxiety, depression, anger and social skills. Here at Renewing Hope my goal is to assist individuals with regaining a since of hope to be the best version of themselves. The clients explore core beliefs about themselves, others, and the systems they exist within, co-creating practical strategies tailored to them and their life journey.
