New to Grow
I am a board-certified clinical psychologist who helps people understand what’s actually driving what they’re experiencing and, what to do about it. My background includes working within a large, complex healthcare system, where I have supported individuals across a wide range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to trauma and more complex mental health conditions. That experience allows me to work comfortably with both straightforward and more layered challenges. Clients often come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or repeating patterns they can’t quite make sense of. One of the first things I focus on is helping you see the full picture clearly. I place a strong emphasis on education and insight, not in a clinical or overwhelming way, but in a way that helps things finally click. My approach is both structured and collaborative. I will listen closely, but I’m also actively thinking with you, identifying patterns, offering perspective, and helping you connect experiences in a way that leads to meaningful change.
Our first session is focused on understanding you, what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been dealing with, and what you want to be different. I will ask thoughtful, targeted questions to get a clear picture of your experiences, patterns, and goals. This is not a passive conversation. I am actively listening, but also helping organize what may feel overwhelming into something more understandable and workable. You can expect: - A structured but natural conversation - Space to share at your own pace - Direct, respectful questions that help us get to what matters - Initial feedback and impressions By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel: - Understood - Clearer about what’s going on - And confident about a plan for moving forward
One of my biggest strengths is my ability to quickly understand complex situations and translate them into clear, actionable steps. My work has involved treating individuals with a wide range of clinical presentations, from common life stressors to more severe and persistent mental health challenges, using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care. What this means for you: - I don’t stay on the surface—we get to what’s actually driving the issue - I balance insight with practical tools you can use immediately - I am comfortable working through difficult, layered experiences without becoming overwhelmed or avoidant - Clients often find that sessions feel both grounding and productive, a space where things finally start to make sense and shift.
I work well with clients who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or trying to make sense of patterns that don’t seem to be changing. Many are thoughtful and motivated, but unsure how to move from insight into actual change. My approach tends to resonate with individuals who want more than just a space to talk, they’re looking for clarity, direction, and practical tools they can use in their day-to-day lives. A willingness to be open, curious, and engaged in the process helps us make the most of our work together. My approach is a strong fit for those who value clarity, structure, and practical strategies aimed at improving quality of life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the foundation of my approach. I work collaboratively with clients to understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and how certain patterns may be keeping them stuck. From there, we focus on building practical skills and strategies that improve your quality of life and create a greater sense of flexibility and relief.
