Cheryl Walters

35 years of experience

Hi I'm Cheryl a clinical social worker who graduated from West Virginia University. I have had the opportunity to work with children and adults who have experienced trauma and life changes including chronic health issues. I also work with addiction and recovery. I appreciate working with all age groups who want to heal and improve outlook and hope. I have served in the field of protective services with families who needed help with economic and neglect issues. I have also worked in foster care and family reunification services. Also, I have been involved with sexually abused children and adults. I have also worked with kidney dialysis patients and their families who face major life changes and challenges of kidney failure. I also was a mental health therapist at the Veteran Administration Health Care serving male and female veterans experiencing addiction and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Since 2021, I work with addiction patients on medicine assisted therapy via telehealth communications.
