New to Grow
I am a fully licensed therapist who is passionate about helping others by meeting them where they are. Although my passion is working with teenagers and young adults, I also enjoy working with people from all walks of life and challenging them to learn new ways of thinking and behaving. I strive to create an open, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe sharing and processing your emotions and experiences. With the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and encouragement to engage in more self-care, I assist clients in developing skills that decrease levels of stress, as well as, anxiety and depression-related symptoms. The first step is always the most difficult one to take and you have done that when you decided to seek therapy! Let's work together to develop wellness, healing, and wholeness!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session we will work on building rapport. I will introduce myself and explain my role. I will help you feel comfortable and welcomed and answer any questions you may have about therapy. In this first encounter you will not be pressured to share anything you are not ready to discuss.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of the most distinctive aspects of my approach is the balance between evidence-based structure and emotional attunement. I use CBT and skills-based interventions in a way that feels practical, supportive, and personalized rather than rigid or overly clinical. I help clients learn skills they can actually use in daily life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients who are motivated to make positive life adjustments in response to current life circumstances and who view therapy as a platform for personal growth, self-awareness, and skill development. These clients seek to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while learning practical strategies that support emotional regulation, healthier relationships, improved decision-making, and increased resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have consistently used CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building practical skills to manage anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, and independent functioning. CBT will help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected and how changing thoughts and behaviors can improve emotional well-being.
