Hello! I’m Irene, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 14 years of experience in medical, emergency, and psychiatric care. For the past year, I’ve been providing medication management and therapy exclusively via telehealth in Florida, and I’m excited to announce that I am now offering in-person sessions. I believe in being authentic, empathetic, and self-aware in my practice, as these qualities are essential for effective therapy. My goal is to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences, helping them feel seen, heard, and understood. I am passionate about the transformative power of Integrative Psychiatry, which I’ve seen in both my professional and personal life. Psychotherapy, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga have been vital to my self-care, especially during my previous career as an accountant, which often led to anxiety and panic attacks. As a U.S. Army veteran, nurse, and someone who worked side by side with many first responders in the Emergency Department, I am particularly dedicated to supporting fellow veterans, nurses, and first responders dealing with depression or anxiety stemming from traumatic experiences. I aim to help alleviate your symptoms and empower you to create a brighter present. If you’re a parent facing challenges with your child’s behavioral issues or academic struggles, especially post-COVID-19, I understand your frustration. I have supported children in my own family with ADHD, Complex PTSD, and anxiety, and I’ve seen them thrive through early intervention. I truly believe that “it takes a village,” and I want to be part of yours, supporting both you and your child throughout the healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial psychiatric session, you can expect to encounter a compassionate and understanding atmosphere as we strive to establish a meaningful therapeutic connection. We will explore your medical background, present worries, and treatment aspirations. I will outline the therapy procedure and address any queries. Collectively, we will focus on constructing a strong basis for our continuous partnership to enhance your mental health.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a specialist in pediatric care and support for veterans and first responders, I am passionate about helping individuals overcome these hurdles. My extensive experience allows me to understand the unique needs of each patient, and I take pride in offering personalized treatment that truly makes a difference. Let’s work together to pave the way to a brighter future!
