Helping you explore the deepest areas of your life that you ignore or hide away because of the guilt, shame, or pain of the past. I listen. Helping you focus on the words, feelings, and thoughts that are part of the existing pain. Building trust in our relationship so you know nonjudgment and support. I commit my skills to your needs. We’ll find what works for your healing, so working through the pain becomes something that you did to move forward into the life that you want.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We usually talk at first. I gather information about you and your family’s history and the current challenges you face. We’ll then create a plan for what to work on based on your wants and my recommendations. We use various tools in sessions, including worksheets, education, videos, music, and more to help you realize your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Know that I am committed to the process, so I ask that you also commit to changes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

A type of therapy that allows for exploring thoughts behaviors and actions that can be addressed with skills building to help with controlling symptoms of anxiety

EMDR

It stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I know… it’s a mouthful… but it can help people who experience anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, loss, or substance abuse cravings. It’s a series of steps to help you process the painful trauma or disturbing events that have followed you into your present life – those things that make it difficult for you to feel safe, have trust, or live without anxiety. I understand that you might not even know why they’re affecting you in this way.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Skills that assist with interpersonal relationships, Emotion regulation, Distress tolerance and being mindful. Learning the skills that apply specifically to you.
