Trudy Warner-Phillips
Hi, my name is Trudy, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board -Certified (PMHNP-BC) and I have been a nurse since 1996. I have also worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry that I feel gives me a unique perspective. I have traveled and worked in many states and have seen the impact mental health has on overall health to be universal. I want every person to have the opportunity to make their life extraordinary with grace and gratitude.
First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into your history, struggles/challenges as well as what symptoms you want to target. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
My greatest strength as a provider is being an empath and treating others with kindness and grace. Having worked with clients for a significant time period I have seen the evidence of symptom relief in clients by addressing the symptoms that they find bothersome with recognition that there are typically multi causal contributing factors.
Ideal clients
I treat the life span; I especially enjoy working with young professionals. My clients are eager to improve but are not aware of the holistic tools to make their goals a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help patients identify their strengths and find ways to use those strengths in daily life; how to increase positive emotional states by change and work aimed at increasing their sense of gratitude. Maximize well being with by living according to their values as opposed to being guided primarily by their thoughts or emotions.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Maximize well being with by living according to their values as opposed to being guided primarily by their thoughts or emotions.
