LCSW, 15 years of experience
Hello and welcome to my practice. I know that reaching out for support takes a lot of courage, and I deeply honor that step. I am a compassionate, warm, and down-to-earth therapist who believes in walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just in need of someone to talk to, I offer a safe, supportive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore emotions, experiences, and goals and feel empowered and supported to fully be yourself. My approach is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a genuine belief in your strength and potential. I am dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges with clarity and resilience, and therapy with me isn't about quick fixes but about building a trusting relationship where real, lasting change can happen.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask some gentle questions to learn more about what brings you to therapy, some basic history, what you hope to work on, and any goals or concerns you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything right away. We’ll move at your pace. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported from the very beginning.
What sets me apart as a therapist is my deep cultural sensitivity, lived experience, and unwavering commitment to holding space for people from all walks of life. I bring not only professional training but also personal insight into the complexities of identity, migration, family dynamics, and resilience. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued—especially those who may have struggled to find that kind of support elsewhere. Clients often tell me they appreciate my warmth, calm presence, and ability to gently challenge them in ways that lead to meaningful growth. I also have a strong interest in supporting military families and those impacted by the invisible wounds of service. My training in trauma-focused therapy and complex PTSD equips me to walk alongside individuals and couples navigating the deep effects of prolonged stress, grief, and loss—whether due to deployment, reintegration, or intergenerational trauma. I approach this work with deep respect and a trauma-informed lens, helping clients heal without shame and rebuild trust in themselves and their relationships. My background includes years of experience working with individuals and couples facing trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges, particularly within underserved communities and across cultures. This perspective allows me to offer therapy that is not only effective but also deeply affirming, empathetic, and grounded in real-life understanding.
I specialize in working with adult individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress, communication issues, relationship issues, professionals managing burnout, life transitions, and couples or individuals seeking meaning, healing, and deeper connection in their lives and relationships. I am committed to your growth and healing, and I tailor therapy to meet each one's unique needs, experiences, and strengths. In my work with couples, I help them strengthen communication, rebuild trust after infidelity or after it is lost in other ways, navigate cultural or interfaith differences, and prepare for or adjust to the changes that come with marriage, parenting, or separation. We work together to achieve meaningful change and well-being.
I use DBT to help clients manage intense emotions and build coping skills through mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. It’s beneficial for individuals struggling with negative coping mechanisms, those struggling with having healthy communication, and emotional dysregulation
I apply CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. Through this process, clients develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, leading to improved mental well-being
I incorporate ACT to help clients accept their thoughts and feelings rather than avoiding them. By encouraging mindfulness and helping clients clarify their values, we work together to take committed actions that align with what’s meaningful to them
In couples therapy, I help partners improve their communication, resolve conflicts, and deepen their emotional connection. Through guided discussions and exercises, we focus on understanding each other’s needs and building stronger, more resilient relationships.
I use EFT to help couples and individuals explore and express their emotions in a safe, supportive environment. By identifying negative emotional patterns and fostering secure attachments, we work on creating deeper emotional bonds and healthier interactions
