Hi, I’m Kristina Gianola, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about helping people feel more connected to themselves and others. I take a warm, down-to-earth approach, creating a safe space where you can explore your emotions, heal past wounds, and move toward healthier patterns. My work is rooted in systems and parts work, meaning we’ll look at how your relationships and different aspects of yourself shape your experiences. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, or relationship challenges, we’ll work together to help you build insight, confidence, and lasting change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll get to know each other a bit, and I’ll ask about the challenges you’re facing. We’ll discuss your goals for therapy and start exploring the root causes of what’s been holding you back. By the end, we’ll have a plan in place to help you move forward with confidence.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build a genuine connection with clients. I have a knack for creating a safe, trusting space where people feel comfortable opening up. At the same time, I can challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and hold you accountable—without making you feel attacked or judged.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who are navigating anxiety, self-esteem struggles, and life transitions. My clients want to grow but often feel stuck in negative patterns or self-doubt. I help them build confidence, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

As a humanistic therapist, I see my clients as whole people—not just a diagnosis or a set of problems to “fix.” I believe real change happens through genuine connection, self-exploration, and uncovering personal strengths. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and in control of your own growth.

Trauma Informed Care

I have extensive training and experience working with trauma, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). As a trauma-informed therapist, I know that healing doesn’t happen by diving in all at once—it’s about taking things at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Together, we’ll approach your experiences in small, digestible steps, ensuring you feel supported and in control throughout the process.
