About me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide a compassionate and inclusive space for individuals navigating life’s complexities. I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. I also support clients through major life transitions such as faith deconstruction, divorce, career changes, and shifting family dynamics. A significant part of my work includes helping individuals heal from religious trauma and explore faith deconstruction in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. I incorporate EMDR, IFS, nervous system regulation, intuitive eating principles and boundary coaching to help clients reconnect with their bodies, values, and inner wisdom.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on creating a sense of safety and connection. I take time to get to know you—your history, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. We’ll explore your current challenges, identify your goals, and begin to understand how your experiences have shaped the patterns showing up in your life today. I’ll also explain my approach, answer any questions you have about EMDR, somatic work, or parts work, and collaborate with you to create a plan that feels supportive and manageable. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, grounded, and hopeful about the work ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the way I integrate EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and somatic therapy to help clients heal at a deep, experiential level. I focus on more than symptom relief—I help clients understand and transform the underlying patterns driving their distress. My work is highly relational and trauma-informed, emphasizing nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and authentic connection. Clients often describe our work as deeply validating and transformative, noting that they feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults and older teens who are ready to engage in deep, insight-oriented work to understand and heal the roots of their distress. Many are navigating life transitions, struggling with boundaries, or processing trauma that has shaped how they relate to themselves and others. I specialize in helping clients reconcile difficult memories, regulate their nervous systems, and rebuild a sense of safety and self-trust. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are deconstructing or recovering from high-demand or religious environments and seeking to rediscover their authentic identity and values. My clients tend to be motivated, introspective, and open to experiential approaches such as somatic awareness and EMDR as pathways toward lasting change.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR as an integrative trauma treatment approach within a relational and attachment-focused framework. I typically begin with stabilization and resourcing to ensure the client has adequate coping skills before reprocessing. Once ready, I use standard EMDR protocols to target past traumatic memories, current triggers, and future templates. I often adapt the approach based on client needs—for example, incorporating parts work, somatic awareness, or ego state interventions as appropriate.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems as a foundational framework for understanding and working with clients’ internal experiences. I help clients identify and build compassionate relationships with their parts, including protective and wounded parts, to foster internal harmony and self-leadership. I integrate IFS concepts throughout the therapy process, using parts language to support emotion regulation, insight, and healing, whether or not I’m doing formal IFS sessions.

Somatic

I integrate somatic therapy principles to help clients develop awareness of the mind-body connection and to release trauma stored in the body. I guide clients in noticing physical sensations, grounding, and regulating their nervous systems during and between sessions. Somatic awareness often supports deeper emotional processing, particularly when combined with EMDR or parts work, by helping clients stay present and connected to their bodies as they process difficult experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. I often integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skills training to increase clients’ insight and coping abilities. I tailor CBT interventions to each client’s needs, blending them with trauma-informed and relational approaches to ensure the work remains grounded, compassionate, and holistic.
