New to Grow
Since becoming a licensed therapist in 2014, I've had the privilege of walking alongside adolescents, adults, and families through some of life's most challenging seasons. With a background in community mental health and family law, I understand the unique pressures that come with co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, family conflict, etc. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to find hope, healing and lasting change.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, judgement-free space where we get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and goals, and we'll work together to outlined a plan that feels right for you. We will begin building the trust and connection that will guide our work together. My desire is that you will leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
I bring a calm, empathetic presence, balanced with a results oriented mindset - helping clients to feel deeply understood and empowered to make meaningful change. My years of working with adolescents, adults and families facing co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, and high conflict situations have equipped me with the tools, patience and perspective to meet people where they are - and guide them towards last healing and growth.
I am best positioned to serve adolescents, adults, and families who are ready to work through various life challenges. I connect well with clients who are seeking both understanding and practical tools, and who are open to exploring new ways of thinking, coping and relating. Whether your goal is to manage overwhelming emotions, improve communication, strengthen relationships, or find hope in a difficult season, I provide a supportive and results focused space to help you move forward.
In our personal sessions, I will incorporate CBT to help you identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies and make last behavioral changes. You and I will work collaboratively to examine the connection between thoughts, emotions and actions which will assist you improving your quality of life.
I offer Christian counseling if you desire to integrate faith into your healing process. I draw from biblical principles to help clients find hope, renewal, and practical tools for living out their faith in everyday challenges.
