One of my basic tenants is we, as people, are doing the best we can, and sometimes our conscious or subconscious "plan" to take care of ourselves is just not working anymore. Sometimes we need to develop a new “plan” but that can be difficult and we need help. The relationship with ourselves, family, friends and our community is a pillar to good health and well being. However things get in the way….like trauma, substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety, loneliness, illness, & fear. I want to support your concerns and help you improve your sense of wellbeing.

As a clinician, I create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported. Fluent in English and Portuguese, I work with youth, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. I am passionate about understanding each individual's unique experiences and helping them identify their values, strengths, and abilities. Using a strengths-based, client-centered approach, I guide clients toward a meaningful and personalized path for growth and help them navigate life's challenges.

If you recently lost a loved one through death or a traumatic breakup, you are likely in the grieving process. You may be overwhelmed by waves of emotion or feel like the rug has been pulled from beneath your feet and you have not yet found solid ground. Traumatic loss abruptly changes everything. Your world will never be the same as it was, but you can find a new way forward. I specialize in helping courageous people process deep emotions and get through grief while finding purpose in life. Healing from loss takes time and deep emotional work. Over the past 8 years as a Hospice social worker and Bereavement therapist, I’ve witnessed healing from grief complicated by conflicted relationships, medical trauma and underlying mental health challenges. Often, we get stuck in circular thoughts that produce feelings of guilt or regret as we replay scenes wishing we could go back in time. Together we can work assess places where you may be stuck and unlock compassion and growth. I have vast amount of experience in addressing Anxiety, PTSD and Depression. I have experience in addressing life experiences, anger management, and marital conflict. My military experience has allowed me to have various approaches to addressing client's needs.
