Hi, I’m Sabrina Ritchie, a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years in healthcare and a specialty in mental health and integrative care. I founded Thoughtful Therapies to provide personalized, compassionate support for adults facing anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions—without rushing to medication or labels. I’m trained in integrative mental health, blending nutrition, lifestyle, and mind-body tools to support emotional well-being. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and shaped by your unique story—offering a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. I'm currently licensed in Massachusetts, with additional states coming soon, and offer all sessions virtually for your comfort and convenience.
Our first session is a chance for me to get a full picture of you—your story, your symptoms, and what’s been going on beneath the surface. You’ll complete a few forms ahead of time so I can come into the session with a foundation, and then we’ll spend about an hour gathering more in-depth information. I’ll ask about your medical and mental health history, current challenges, lifestyle factors, and anything else that might be contributing to how you're feeling. This first session is more focused on information gathering than back-and-forth conversation, but it sets the tone for everything we’ll build together. We’ll also start discussing your goals, review any relevant diagnoses, and explore evidence-based treatment options you feel comfortable with—always through a collaborative lens. Follow-up sessions are typically 30 minutes and focus on implementing and adjusting your personalized plan of care.
One of my core values is trust—you are the expert in your own experience, and you deserve a safe, nonjudgmental space to share your story openly. However you come into our sessions, you will be met with empathy, respect, and empowerment. My treatment style evolves to meet your unique needs. What truly sets my approach apart is how personalized and integrative it is. I don’t just treat symptoms—I look at the whole person: mind, body, nervous system, hormones, lifestyle, and lived experience. Together, we create a collaborative plan rooted in both science and compassion. My ultimate goal is to empower you to achieve lasting mental wellness and improve your overall quality of life—helping you feel more seen, grounded, and in control of your journey.
I’m best positioned to serve adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—especially those who’ve tried traditional routes and felt unseen or unheard. Many of my clients are high-functioning, capable individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, or major life transitions, but they’ve been quietly struggling beneath the surface. They’re often the ones others rely on—the caretakers, the achievers, the strong ones—yet they’re running on empty, unsure how to keep going at the same pace without losing themselves. You may be someone who’s been told “you’re fine” or “just stressed,” but deep down, you know there’s more going on. Maybe you’ve experienced emotional shifts after childbirth, felt the impact of hormonal changes, or reached a breaking point after years of carrying too much. You may want support, but not necessarily medication right away. You may want real change—not a temporary fix—but a personalized, integrative plan that honors your whole story. I work best with clients who are ready for a different approach: one that includes curiosity, compassion, and practical tools. You don’t need to have it all figured out—just a willingness to be honest, to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and to prioritize your wellbeing. Together, we’ll get to the root of your symptoms, not just manage them. We’ll build a foundation of calm, clarity, and resilience that’s sustainable—not performative. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, fatigue, or feeling like you’ve lost your spark, I offer a space to pause, reflect, and reset. If you're looking for personalized care that respects your individuality and empowers you with practical strategies—not one-size-fits-all therapy—I’d be honored to support you.
I take a mind-body approach that truly sees you—working with you, not on you—to create a personalized plan that addresses what’s beneath, not just the symptoms. Integrative care means I treat the whole you—nervous system, hormones, nutrition, lifestyle, and emotional health—to get to the root and support lasting change.
