LICSW, 1 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, My name is Julianne Chace and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have helped children, teens and adults find meaning, purpose and healing for over 13 years. I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, learn practical coping tools, and build a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can help you move toward greater calm, confidence, and connection so you can live a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be. If you’re ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I am here to support you.
I believe that therapy is a partnership. Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you, whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, or another personal objective. As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. We can adapt our plan at any time to ensure it’s always meaningful and relevant to you. I’m here to provide you with the support and tools you need to continue to move closer to where you want to be, even when things feel challenging. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to guide you through each step of the process.
My journey into therapy began with a deep curiosity about human resilience and a desire to help others find strength during life’s hardest moments. I had the privilege of working with survivors of trauma, which opened my eyes to the powerful role therapy plays in recovery and healing. This experience solidified my commitment to supporting others as they navigate their own paths toward hope and stability. I also bring extensive experience working with youth facing complex trauma, mental health challenges, and behavioral difficulties in residential care, which has deepened my understanding of the unique struggles individuals and families face. I am continually driven by the belief that everyone has the potential for growth and change, no matter how stuck or overwhelmed they may feel. Seeing my clients gain confidence, find moments of peace, and reconnect with their strengths is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
I support teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, college stress, bipolar disorder, impulsive behaviors, alcohol use, OCD, and family or relationship challenges, mood instability, limited decision making skills, limited coping skills, or low self esteem If you’re tired of feeling on edge, weighed down by past experiences, or struggling to manage your moods and reactions, you don’t have to face this alone.
CBT by helping the client identify unhelpful thoughts that fuel anxiety or low mood, then guiding them to challenge and reframe those thoughts into more balanced perspectives. I also teach practical coping strategies like thought logs or relaxation techniques and assign between-session practice to reinforce new skills. This approach helps clients connect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, empowering them to create lasting change.
I have helped the client notice and accept difficult thoughts and emotions without judgment, rather than trying to eliminate them. I would guide the client in identifying their core values and practicing mindfulness-based strategies, so they can take committed actions that move them toward a meaningful life, even in the presence of discomfort.
