New to Grow
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Congratulations on starting your journey, and I’m here to make sure that it is meaningful to you. This is a safe space to voice your protest, where you are not able to share in any other place. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. I welcome you to reach out whenever you feel ready to begin. I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself.
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to guide you through each step of the process.
I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as a compassionate partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
With Humanistic approach, I focus on person's experiences, values and beliefs making therapy session person-centered with their therapy goals.
In many situations, individuals play out the same role-play which they have done in their imperative years with their caregivers. Learning attachment styles becomes important when it overshadows present. In sessions, even if we go in past learning about attachment styles we come to present keeping focus on solutions.
I use human body as a source for biofeedback to understand how we are doing in sessions. Focusing on body and connecting it with mind can be powerful tool to feel grounded and controlled.
Focusing on cycle of emotions-thoughts-behavior is integral part of any therapy. I have seen individuals experiencing from this technique a broader perspective which help them to embed this perspective into wisdom.
I have seen in my clients that they are their own greatest enemies or worst critiques. For bringing positive and long lasting change it is necessary that we respect ourselves. I use compassion focused approach to address shame based behaviors and encourage client to do it in their routine as well. It is hard in the beginning but with practice and persistence it becomes achievable and attainable.
