LCSW, 12 years of experience

I have been in the field for the past 12 years and have had the privilege of working with many different communities. I have extensive experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, identity development (sexual and gender), relationship issues, domestic violence, self harm and suicidal ideation. I have worked on a college campus and am well versed with ADHD, Autism and academic issues as well. I have loved my work with the LGBTQ community and have supported many through their transition. I have been honored to work with survivors of assault and sexual trauma. This work also extends to religious trauma and abuse (physical, emotional). I feel small changes can make a significant impact and am excited to help people navigate these changes. I am straightforward and direct with my clients and love to work with those motivated to improve their lives. I know it is not easy to reach out for help and I appreciate that clients allow me the opportunity to help.
We will get to know each other and identify your needs and goals for therapy. I do assign a small bit of homework at the first session.
I feel most clients do well in therapy when there is a trusting relationship with the therapist. I work hard to connect with my clients and establish a safe space for clients to share freely. My role is to help and I take that very seriously.

Mary is completely real with her patients. She listens to every detail and gives meaningful feedback and tools to help with situations you are dealing with. She is extremely easy to talk to and has an open mind. She is also in complete support of the LGBTQIA+ community which I have found helpful during my sessions with her. I would recommend her to anyone that needs someone to listen, care and ready to work on their life and journey.

I can't begin to express how many ways Mary has helped me over the years. I would be totally lost and depressed without her. She has been able to point out things to me, that not even I (one of the most self-aware people, to the point of my detriment sometimes), could call myself out on. I am constantly finding that I'm re-wiring my brain and that doesn't JUST come from therapy, but it is certainly 1 of the 3 pillars to doing it. I can't ever thank her enough for being there for my jounrney.
