New to Grow
Hi there, I'm Everly. I love meeting new people and believe everyone has the capacity for change. In my sessions, I provide unconditional positive regard, full acceptance, and freedom to be yourself. I partner with you in finding hope, reaching goals, and embarking on self-exploration without fear, shame, or judgment. I believe patience and effort can cultivate true change, revealing purpose and meaning in our lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session of involves an initial assessment focused on understanding your background, current challenges, and goals for treatment, and what you're looking for in a therapist. My intent is to provide you with a comfortable, safe, non-judgmental, open forum space to share as you feel led. I view your trust in sharing with me as a great privilege and I aim to help you find solutions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have a background in neuropsychology, integrative methods, clinical research, chronic illness, incurable conditions, forensics, crisis, and severe mental illness. I have a passion for helping people find solutions, hope, and possibilities when life is so overwhelming that it is to see the hidden gems or escape routes.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in helping individuals facing mental or emotional distress, trauma, crisis, and major life disruptions. It has been my privilege to provide compassionate support and stabilization for youth, adults, and seniors at critical times in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a highly effective approach for individuals, couples, and groups to challenge distorted beliefs and cognitively restructure distressful or negative thought patterns with healthier, productive behaviors.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I've utilized DBT with individuals and groups to treat emotional dysregulation, mood disorders, addictions, complex trauma, PTSD, and self-harm.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I've utilized SFBT extensively with clients that are focused on building solutions rather than analyzing problems and respond to a goal-oriented, short-term approach.
Narrative
Narrative therapy encourages my clients to recognize they are the expert in their own lives. We separate the person from their problems, empowering oneself as the author in rewriting and reconstructing one's own life story to foster positive change.
