(she/her)
Hi, welcome. I am so proud of you for taking the first step into your healing journey. My name is Erica and I have been working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults for over 15 years. I have a strong knowledge base of resources in the Philadelphia metro area. I recently had my second child and currently only have DAYTIME availability due to current clients having established evening sessions. I became a mom during COVID, which was a big transition for me and quite the journey. This means I can provide insight, compassion and knowledge about parenting issues, fertility struggles, traumatic labor and delivery and pregnancy loss. My experience includes case management and psychiatric acute care or what people call partial hospitalization; basically, I ensured that my team and I helped clients stabilize during or after a crisis. I started my career in case management working with children and families, connecting them to community resources, and therapies, then I grew into acute care, running children and adolescent group therapy, family therapy and individual and crisis counseling. Since most of my history is in acute care, I have a passion for working in crisis and trauma, working with all demographics. My extensive background in crisis and trauma allows me the compassion and space for those needing a little extra support, to check my email and text those clients throughout the day. I have recently completed Rutgers Certificate Program in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention, as well as Completed the Dare to Lead, program by Brene Brown. I am a volunteer coach for special Olympics, participate in advocacy work for survivors of military loss, on the Delaware county advisory council for veterans.
In our first session together, I try to obtain the most detailed history as possible, the more information I have the best I can help you. This includes symptoms but also childhood and family and other systems.
Feedback from colleagues and clients have been consistent in managing and assessing crisis, quickly building connections and trust, while also being grounded. Much of my work is through the lens of trauma-informed care, with unique experience in pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and all the feelings that come with being a parent and a mother.
I am best able to serve first responders (corrections, police, fire, emt/paramedic, dispatch), military (active duty, reserve, veterans and retired) and military families, healthcare workers (nurses, doctors, PAs, other front line staff) new moms (perinatal and post-partum), parents, co-parenting, young adults, trauma and personality disorders. Most importantly those who are ready to take the first step and try therapy again or even for the first time.

Eclectic
My proverbial tool bag has skills from various theories and practices including CBT, TF-CBT, CPT, EFT and DBT. More importantly rapport and trust will be the most therapeutic tool that I use.
Group Therapy
I have been running groups for majority of my career, from intense crisis to more casual educational gatherings. I will be launching a group specifically for first responders coming soon!

I was looking for someone who was authentic and would challenge me to dig deeper. I love that she engages in dialogue instead of having me talk. I love therapist that is able to have me stop to reflect and then proceed on. I enjoyed my first session, looking forward to my upcoming session.
