Hi, I’m Esther, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade in mental health and six years working directly as a therapist. I’ve supported people in schools, ABA centers, public programs, and private practice, giving me a broad perspective on human growth and change. As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand how overwhelming experiences—like loss, abuse, or chronic stress—can affect your sense of self, relationships, and ability to trust. In a safe, non-judgmental space, I work with you to explore these impacts and use evidence-based strategies to build emotional regulation, resilience, healthy boundaries, and self-trust. Together, we aim to restore your sense of safety, empowerment, and connection with yourself and others.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll get to know each other, review how therapy works, and discuss what brought you here. Together, we’ll explore your strengths and challenges and set personalized goals to guide our work.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I take a strength-based approach in helping you build on your existing resilience and skills while addressing challenges. I support clients through grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma—including PTSD—using evidence-based strategies to process emotions, develop coping skills, and restore balance and well-being.
Trauma Informed Care
I use a personalized, trauma-informed approach, recognizing how trauma affects the nervous system, memory, and sense of safety. By integrating Trauma Narrative work, Expressive Therapies, CBT, and DBT, I help you safely process traumatic experiences at a pace that feels manageable, reducing distress from intrusive memories, triggers, and avoidance. We focus on building skills in emotional regulation, grounding, and mindfulness to increase your sense of control and connection to the present. Therapy provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to rebuild trust, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self while fostering healthier patterns in relationships and daily life.
