LCSW, 15 years of experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and understanding. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, or issues related to self-esteem and self-worth, I am here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth. With over 15 years of experience in mental health, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds—including active-duty military members, veterans, women, adolescents, teens, and young adults—across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. I believe that everyone possesses the strength to overcome life’s obstacles. My goal is to provide a warm, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment where you feel empowered to create meaningful change and move toward a more fulfilling life.
In our first session, I will take time to review confidentiality and ensure that you feel comfortable and informed. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship by getting to know you—your favorite music, talents, hobbies, and what makes you unique. Understanding the reasons that led you to seek therapy will help us prioritize your concerns and set meaningful goals together. I will actively listen and work collaboratively with you to create a treatment plan that aligns with your individual needs and aspirations. Above all, I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, respected, and empowered. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling understood and confident about taking the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to collaborate with you through a team-based approach that empowers you to make choices aligned with your goals and values. I bring compassion, empathy, and understanding to every session, fostering a supportive environment where you can feel safe to explore, grow, and create meaningful change.
I am passionate about working with clients from all walks of life and take pride in creating a supportive space for personal growth and healing. I especially enjoy empowering women and young adults who may be navigating life’s many stressors, helping them build effective strategies to manage and overcome these challenges. I also have a deep appreciation for working with military clients—both active-duty Service Members and Veterans—as they process the unique experiences and transitions that come with military life and the return to civilian living. Transitioning out of the military, or through any major life change, can be difficult, and I am here to help you find clarity, purpose, and balance so that you no longer feel stuck. My focus is on supporting those who are ready to make positive changes in their lives, whether they’re coping with negative thought patterns (“stinking thinking”), depression, anxiety, trauma, or grief. We all face challenges at different points in our journey, and my role is to be an active listener and your biggest cheerleader—encouraging and empowering you to create meaningful, lasting change.
Over 15 years of experience with cognitive behavioral therapy. We work together to identify how negative patterns are impacting their lives and learn to develop healthy coping skills to change those negative patterns/thoughts.
I will collaborate with clients to help them view how their thoughts and feelings surrounding trauma can be distort due to shame/self-blame. We will work together to process those thoughts and feelings and learn how this have impacted them.
Me and clients explore their strengths needed to motivate the changes they desire.
We work together to process their grief, and any emotions surrounding the loss.
We explore how to be present in the moment and bring awareness of what you are feeling and thinking without judgment. We use mediation and breathing techniques to help with any thoughts that's associate with your concern/issue. I like using Mindfulness with those who may be dealing with addiction/depression/anxiety
