In our first session, we will begin with introductions and discuss challenges or symptoms that are currently impacting your life. Most importantly, this is an opportunity for you to see if we are good fit. If so, together we will create a treatment plan and goals that will guide us in the sessions ahead.
One of my hopes as a clinician is to provide a safe, comfortable environment that meets you where you are in each session, while also helping you achieve your treatment plan goals.
Given that anxiety has been one of my specialties for the past 5 years, I enjoy utilizing CBT as an evidenced-based practice that is effective and helpful in understanding how our thoughts can affect our emotions and behaviors. This approach can provide applicable coping skills, while also providing an explanation of why these skills can be beneficial for decreasing anxious symptoms.
