I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience helping individuals navigate a variety of challenges. I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and a focus on building a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their challenges, develop self-awareness, and cultivate meaningful change. My goal is to empower clients, offering tools and guidance to help them lead more fulfilling, balanced lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial therapy session typically involves a comprehensive assessment and exploration of your current concerns. You'll have the opportunity to share your background, discuss your challenges, and express your therapy goals. I will gather information about your mental health history, current symptoms, and any relevant social or family factors. Together, we'll discuss potential treatment approaches, such as therapy modalities, session frequency, and any other resources that may be helpful. This initial session is an opportunity to build rapport, ask questions, and determine if everything feels like a good fit.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I strive to create a warm, safe, and validating environment where clients can explore their challenges without judgment. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, and I believe in incorporating humor and a sense of lightness whenever possible. I also value when clients bring their authentic selves to our sessions. Whether it's sharing a relatable TikTok, quoting a favorite song lyric, or simply expressing themselves in a way that feels true to them, I believe that these moments can deepen our connection and enhance the therapeutic process.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

In my practice, I work with both teens and adults dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, like depression, anxiety, grief, and the emotional effects of chronic health conditions. I know how these issues can really affect your daily life and relationships, and I’m here to support you through them. I also have a lot of experience in crisis management, helping people handle tough, high-stress situations. On top of that, I specialize in trauma work, guiding clients through healing from past experiences that still affect them today. My approach is all about meeting you where you’re at, creating a safe, supportive space for you to heal and grow.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with healthier, more realistic thinking. Through this process, you'll learn practical skills to manage emotions and behaviors, ultimately improving your overall mental well-being.

Compassion Focused

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is an approach that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with practices designed to promote self-compassion and emotional healing. It helps individuals develop a kind, nurturing attitude toward themselves, especially in the face of difficult emotions or past trauma. CFT aims to reduce self-criticism and shame, fostering a greater sense of emotional resilience and well-being.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) is an approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma on individuals and emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment. It focuses on understanding the effects of trauma on a person’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being, ensuring that care is provided in a way that avoids re-traumatization while promoting healing, empowerment, and trust.
