Hi, there! My name is Sam. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my Masters degree from the University of Southern Indiana, and I carried out my clinical training in Atlanta, GA. I've been independently licensed since August 2020, and I'm credentialed to work in Texas, Georgia, and Indiana. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, life transitions, general stress, in addition to other presenting obstacles. As a practitioner of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I strive to help clients become the best version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Initially, we will work together to establish a desired outcome or "best hopes." Following this, we will collaborate to build a description of your life relative to your desired outcome. I operate under the assumption that YOU are the expert of your own life, therefore I'm not going to give you a list of tasks to complete in order to feel better. I will, however, ask a series of specific questions in an effort to establish new thinking patterns and promote a sense of hope, optimism, and self-sufficiency. I promise you are more capable than you realize.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Establishing good rapport is critical to the therapeutic process, and I pride myself on being human, non-judgmental, and down-to-earth. I like to think that I demonstrate a noticeable attention to detail in all facets of life, including as a therapy provider. I've been told that I'm careful and attentive as it relates to providing feedback and formulating questions. As a result of this, I leave my clients feeling supported, listened to, and, ultimately, cared for. I'm proud to be a part of a growing movement that is Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and I believe whole-heartedly in the effectiveness of my approach.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have received extensive training and coaching as it relates to the Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) approach, and I believe whole-heartedly in it's effectiveness. My role as an SFBT therapist is to facilitate a meaningful conversation surrounding whatever positive transformation you wish you occur in your life. Together we will collaborate build detailed descriptions of your preferred future, resources, and history as it relates to your desired outcome. If I do my job correctly, you will leave our sessions feeling hopeful, inspired, and fully-capable of experiencing the life that you want.
