Hi everyone! Are you someone who is open to growth, change, and you want healing to take place? I like to work with clients who have a desire to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally and who recognize this doesn't happen overnight. We are each a work in progress! I am a clinician who has been practicing for over 20 years. I enjoy working with various populations and ages but primarily focus on providing counseling services for the adult population. I feel God has led me to be a counselor, and I love watching others grow and heal in their life journeys. I work to help clients build resilience, regain confidence, and find peace in their personal and relational lives. Through a supportive, personalized approach, I work to help clients heal from their past hurts and begin to look forward to the future with a hopeful outlook.
The first session consists of completing the initial intake with you. This is how I get to know you better, and it aids in developing a more personalized treatment plan. Basic information about counseling and the initial paperwork you completed will be reviewed with you. There will be time built into the session to ask questions, and this is welcomed!
I am a strong advocate for others. With my background in social work, standing up for others who are less fortunate or struggling in some way has been very important to me. Most people I counsel seem to enjoy my approach to counseling. I strive to meet clients where they are with warmth and empathy. I have worked in-depth with individuals who have suffered various traumas and have successfully provided EMDR and TF-CBT for these individuals. I have worked mostly with the adult population recently but have a long history of working with children and adolescents as well.
I work best with individuals who are struggling with life transitions, be it work changes, relational changes, etc. I primarily work with adults between the ages of 25 and 65 but am open to working with clients outside of these ages as well. I also work well with people who have struggled with anxious and depressive symptoms and mood challenges. Working with people who have experienced trauma is something I frequently work with too.
