Hi thereâit's a pleasure to meet you. I am a MastersâLevel BoardâCertified Music Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with more than two decades of experience supporting individuals across inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. I understand how much courage it takes to reach out for support, and I strive to make therapy a place where you feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. My work is rooted in traumaâinformed care, emphasizing safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. I recognize the impact that trauma can have on the nervous system, relationships, and daily functioning, and I approach each session with sensitivity, attunement, and respect for your lived experience. As a creative arts therapist, I also integrate music and other expressive modalities when helpfulâoffering additional pathways for emotional processing, selfâexpression, and insight, especially when words alone feel limiting. I believe healing begins with a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to listening deeply and communicating with compassion and honesty. My approach focuses on empowering you with the tools, insight, and emotional skills you need to navigate life more effectively and with greater confidence
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Clients can expect the first session to be a structured questionâandâanswer conversation. I will ask about your history, current concerns, and goals so I can understand your needs and determine whether this therapeutic relationship is the right fit. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have about my background, counseling style, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable and informed, as long as the questions are appropriate to the therapeutic setting. During this initial meeting, I will also review the counseling process, discuss expectations for therapy, and outline how we will work together moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength as a provider comes from more than 20 years of working with individuals of all ages across a wide range of care settings. With training as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a BoardâCertified Music Therapist, I offer a flexible, personalized approach that honors each personâs unique story and pace. My work is rooted in traumaâinformed care, emphasizing safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. I strive to create an environment where your nervous system can settle, where you feel seen and supported, and where healing can unfold without pressure or judgment. When it feels helpful, I weave music and other creative elements into our work to support emotional expression, regulation, and connectionâoften opening pathways to insight that can be difficult to access through words alone. This blend of clinical skill, creative practice, and traumaâinformed sensitivity allows me to help clients deepen their selfâunderstanding, strengthen communication, and grow in ways that feel authentic, empowering, and sustainable.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I truly enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan. Over the years, Iâve had the privilege of supporting Older Adults, Adults, Adolescents, and Children in a variety of settings, and I value the unique strengths and needs that each stage of life brings. This broad experience allows me to meet clients where they are developmentally and emotionally, and to tailor our work in a way that feels supportive, respectful, and effective
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach with CBT teaches my patients to challenge their negative thought patterns and turn less often to unhelpful behaviors. In learning these strategies my patients can significantly improve their mood and the way they respond to challenging/stressful situations in their lives.
Psychoeducation
I think that it is very important that each and everyone one of my patients understand their diagnosis. Too often diagnoses are given without a lot of education. During session I like to create a learning experience that helps my patients understand their mental health, the challenges they may face, and how to better cope with them.
Trauma Informed Care
I take pride in providing all of my patients with the best care possible which includes creating a trauma informed environment. The framework for my patients' sessions is based on my knowledge and understanding of how trauma has affected their lives. I establish an environment that promotes safety (physical and emotional), trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
Integrative
I am a board Certified Masters Level Music Therapist and take pride in being able to incorporate creative arts into my patients sessions
Grief Therapy
Dealing with loss can be one of the most difficult phases of life. Through psychotherapy patients are better able to cope with the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual responses they experience to the loss. Grief therapy allows my patients to work through the loss and have a better understanding of the 7 stages of grief, how to best navigate through them, and being to heal.

Edele hears my issues and comes up with achievable goals to help me in my day to day life. She speaks genuinely and with experience in a way that makes me feel seen and validated. Nothing about her methods feel "cookie cutter" so it gives me hope in seeing real results for myself. I know I must follow through with the work though.

I just had my first session, and i was really impressed. Edele was incredibly thorough, took the time to listen without rushing, and asked thoughtful questions that made me feel truly heard and she was able to pick up on things right away. I left this session feeling hopeful and understood. Looking forward to continuing this journey with someone so knowledgeable and compassionate.
