LMFT, 14 years of experience
I'm an LMFT based in California, and for the past 14 years, my passion has been helping adults (18+) break free from the patterns that keep them feeling limited and frustrated. I help you clarify your needs and guide you toward making the responsible choices that lead to deep, sustainable change in your life and relationships. I have a Master's from Hope International University and am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Psychology.
Our first session is a foundational step where I seek to understand your world and your perspective. After brief introductions, we will focus on the specific challenges bringing you in, along with relevant history. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable being your authentic self so that we can begin building a strong, open partnership right away.
The core of my practice is safety and authenticity. I pride myself on establishing a judgment-free space where you can bring your whole self—there's nothing you can say that will surprise or offend me. I've found that trust is key to growth, which is why I'm known for having a high return-rate with first-time clients—I will meet you where you are, and we'll journey together. I believe that real change comes from being seen and being challenged. I call you out on things, but I do it with genuine love and compassion. You will feel completely safe being honest with me, even when the conversation gets tough.
I love working with clients who are ready to commit to their growth. If you are willing to be open and transparent, we can make significant progress in a shorter time.
I utilize CBT to help clients u to change unhelpful or unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. I use practical self-help strategies that are designed to immediately improve your quality of life. It's been a successful treatment option for clients whose thought patterns are preventing them from reaching their goals or living the life they want to live.
Motivational interviewing helps people make positive changes in their lives by increasing their motivation to change. It's based on the idea that there's a partnership between my client and me, and that the client's own motivations are important. This method helps clients make longlasting positive changes that are sustainable over the course of time.
Reality therapy is a form of CBT that focuses a lot more on the present and future than it does on the past. I have used this treatment method to help clients understand that behaviors are a choice. Regardless of how we think or feel, we have a choice on how to behave. Clients are encouraged to explore what they want their life and relationships to look like, and then actively work towards that by being accountable for the role they play.
I am always open to working with clients wish to explore their circumstances from a biblical or faith-based perspective. I do not incorporate this by default but am willing and able to do so at the client's request.

I have been seeing Danielah for months now and she has helped me immensely in dealing with anxiety and relationships. I've talked with some friends about things she's taught me and they all want her number now too lol! We tackle a lot of underlying issues and come up with solutions but I am mostly grateful to her for just being a safe space, hearing me out and making me feel seen. Sometimes that's all we need. Thanks Danielah!!
