Hi! I'm a LCSW based in Virginia. I have over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through emotional experiences using empathic approaches and personalized tools and techniques. My interests focus on how learning, memory, perception, cognition and motivation influence health behaviors and impact physical illness, injury, and disability. I aim to develop a strong relationship with clients, helping you feel safe and respected.
It is very important to the outcome of your therapy that you feel comfortable and understood. Starting therapy can be hard and a lot of factors can influence your first few sessions. I suggest that you try 2-3 sessions to give us the opportunity to to click and sync up with each other. We will take time during these initial sessions to talk about your reasons for coming to therapy. You'll talk about what's been going on in your life that is painful, difficult, or at least not working as well as you'd like. You'll talk about things you want to change and any goals you might have.
I will always offer you my enthusiasm, hope, and skill. I am dedicated to following through with integrity and care in every session.
