Hi, my name is Christian. I have been a therapist for almost 19 years now. I began this journey because of my own upbringing and experiences throughout my life. I have had my own array of issues with mental health and addiction issues as well as within my family and friends. My life was once a mess and now I love my life, and I am mostly a very happy and fulfilled man. The only way that this happened for me was through therapy and being heard and seen. I love to help other people find their own peace of mind and happiness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I really want to connect with you and help you feel comfortable in our sessions. You can expect in our first couple of sessions that I will try to get to know you and help you to find out what it is your wanting to feel and think better about. I want you to feel comfortable with me. I hope that you will trust me enough to give me the opportunity to try and help you. It will always be my honor to help you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think that my greatest strengths are that I have worked with many people that have suffered with many different diagnoses and have found their own inner peace of mind and happiness. I have worked with many different treatment agencies that have dealt with addictions of all kinds as well as depression, anxiety, bi-polar, ADD/ADHD, abuse of all forms, trauma of all forms, and the list goes on. I have mostly worked in the community in which I live in for several years now and believe I have made a difference with persons suffering with alcoholism and addictions. A great deal of them have co-occurring mental health diagnosis that are untreated. When you are able to treat them both I have found to have the most success with these types of clients. I also have worked with the law enforcement and judicial system for the last 15 years directly and indirectly with their hardest clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I first want to tell you how proud I am of you for reaching out for help! It is the best and most loving thing you can do for yourself! You are strong and courageous! I definitely can empathize with many issues such as addictions (all forms), ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, all forms of abuse. I can and have seen and had my own personal exposures within my family unit as well as several friends along the way. I feel and know my personal and professional education and experience has given me a genuine and kind way to help others that struggle with these types of diagnoses. I am not limited to only these diagnoses and love to help anyone with a diagnosis that is in my field of expertise. The best clients I can serve are the ones that are asking for help and willing to take some suggestions to help themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe that our behaviors are definitely related to how we think. If we can determine which thinking is related to the behaviors and work on changing them both your perception can and will change. I also know that each person has his or her own solution within themselves and I can help you to find that.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I think we all are products of our environment and how we were parented or not parented or nurtured verses not nurtured. We all have experiences both good and bad within our family upbringing and childhood through presently that have contributed to our personalities in very deep levels that we are not aware of. Our emotional wellness and ability to react or respond has been learned from all of these different exposures. We can work together to recognize these psychological areas within our emotions and mindset that have hindered our peace of mind and happiness.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe in providing a safe environment so that you can tell me exactly what you are thinking and feeling. I know how important it is to feel seen and heard. I realize that once we know where you are we can find out where you want to go.
