New to Grow
Hi, I’m Ryan Stanley, a Clinical Professional Counselor based in Nevada, offering virtual therapy for adults, teens, and seniors. I specialize in helping people move through anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, grounded space where you can process what’s happening, reconnect with yourself, and build the skills to feel more confident and in control.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where we explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I’ll ask a few questions to get to know your history, current challenges, and goals, but there's no pressure to share everything at once as we’ll go at your pace. By the end, we’ll have a clearer sense of where we’re headed together and some initial tools or insights you can start using right away.
Clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to, genuine, and calm under pressure. I bring a strong background in evidence-based methods like DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed care, paired with a flexible, person-centered approach. I’ve supported individuals facing everything from day-to-day stress to crisis-level events, including first responders and those impacted by displacement or reunification. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, respected, and empowered so I work to make that possible in every session.
I work best with individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, whether from anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, or just the weight of everyday life. Many of my clients are navigating complex transitions: first responders coping with stress and exposure, men working through emotional roadblocks, or families adjusting to reunification or crisis. I’m especially passionate about supporting those who feel pressure to “hold it all together” but need space to safely fall apart, explore their emotions, and build back up. If you're looking for someone who listens without judgment and helps break things down into manageable steps, we might be a good fit.
I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and regularly integrate its core principles into my work, especially when supporting individuals who struggle with intense emotions, relationship difficulties, or self-destructive patterns. I use DBT to help clients build skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These tools empower clients to navigate emotional challenges with greater balance and resilience.
