Working with trauma survivors showed me the power of therapy in healing. I’m driven by the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and lasting change. I strive to offer a holistic approach to healing and enjoy working from a person-centered orientation because I believe that every client is unique and deserves counseling tailored to their individual needs.

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. It’s normal to feel nervous; therapy is a process we’ll build together over time. We’ll move at your pace, one step at a time, and I’ll be here to guide you throughout.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is helpful to overcome strong emotions and impulses. The use of mindfulness, distress tolerance and emotional regulation skills will increase your ability to handle your daily struggles more effectively.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Learning how to stay in the present moment is crucial to be able to show up in your life and with your loved ones.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize cognitive defusion techniques to help you create distance from unhelpful thoughts by changing your relationship with them, treating them just as words or mental events rather that absolute truths.

EMDR

I utilize coping skills from EMDR to help with grounding and self-soothing to manage intense emotions. These skills build emotional resilience by strengthening your internal resources and creating a sense of calm.
