LMFT, 15 years of experience
I'm Julie Loeb, a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist specializing in guiding adult clients struggling with depression and anxiety through life transitions. With 20 years in mental health, including 13 years as a psychotherapist, I offer virtual-based therapy which is empathetic support and a judgment-free space for you to be heard. My experience spans private practice and public mental health clinics, honing my clinical skills and delivering successful outcomes. Get the tools you need today to thrive not just survive.
In your first session with me, anticipate stepping into a virtual warm, safe space where we’ll openly discuss your needs, reasons for seeking therapy, and your expectations. I’ll conduct assessments to gather further insight into your background and therapy goals, all in a relaxed conversational manner. From there, we’ll work together to craft a collaborative treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.
As a therapist, I am easy to talk to, easy to comprehend my client's needs, also unique at providing the right tools with insight at the correct time. I am culturally sensitive with many years of lived experiences.
I specialize in virtual therapy for individuals aged 18-64, as well as older adults. My focus is on helping clients enhance coping skills, boost self-esteem, and unlock their inner wisdom to become their best selves. In our sessions, we'll collaborate to discover solutions that promote mental health and overall well-being."
I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help you focus on things in your life you want to improve or change. Everything we do and say is connected through our thoughts, behavior, and feelings. If you have a problem one or the combination of these three is getting in the way. If you change your thoughts you can interrupt negative patterns and decrease disruptive behaviors. If you change one thing you will not be the same. Also if you change nothing things stay the same. What issues do you want need to address?
I incorporated faith-based methods into psychological counseling. This may include biblical explanations, integration, and Christian psychology. If you have a spiritual base together we can build on it.
It is never easy to lose a loved one. You may even grieve the loss of a person, relationship, children moving out (empty nest), employment, housing, loss of pet, your mobility and so many other issues. As your therapist, I assist you with talk therapy to address your feelings of grief and loss. Cognitive Behavioral therapy to help alter negative, destructive patterns of thinking also offering hope . Then finally walking you into acceptance as you plan for a better future.
