New to Grow
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you were taught to handle things on your own or if mental health wasn’t openly discussed in your family or culture. I offer a collaborative, trauma-informed space for adolescents (13+), adults, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, or the lasting impact of difficult experiences. As a Punjabi Marriage & Family Therapist, I understand how cultural expectations, family roles, and stigma can make it hard to ask for support. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, not judged, and where your values and lived experiences are honored. Together, we’ll build insight, strengthen coping tools, and help you feel more grounded and confident in your relationships and daily life. You don’t have to be certain about everything to begin. Sometimes therapy simply starts with giving yourself permission to try. When you’re ready, I’m here to support you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is the start of a safe, collaborative relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain. I’ll take time to learn about you and your background, explain my approach, and answer any questions so you leave feeling supported and clear about next steps.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I help clients feel seen, heard, and understood, even when they’ve spent years managing challenges on their own. My greatest strength is creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore emotions, patterns, and relationships without judgment. I combine practical tools with deeper insight, helping clients manage stress, navigate anxiety or depression, process past experiences, and improve relationships. I adapt my approach to meet each client’s unique needs, whether that means focusing on coping strategies for immediate relief or exploring underlying patterns for lasting change. Many clients notice increased clarity, emotional balance, and confidence as they gain both understanding and actionable strategies. My work is collaborative, culturally aware, and rooted in helping clients feel empowered to move forward in a way that honors their values and goals.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained, you’re not alone. Many people come to therapy carrying anxiety, depression, past trauma, or the weight of expectations from family, culture, or work. You may have learned to handle things on your own, minimize your needs, or push through without support, and it can be exhausting. In therapy, you’ll find a safe, nonjudgmental space to pause, be heard, and gain clarity. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, patterns, and emotions that feel stuck or heavy, and identify practical ways to feel more grounded and in control. Whether it’s learning tools to manage stress, understanding recurring patterns in relationships, or processing past experiences, our work will be shaped around what you need most. Sometimes it begins with a single step: giving yourself permission to be supported. If you’re ready to leave the emotional weight behind, feel more grounded, and reclaim a sense of clarity and control, I’m here to help you take that first step.
Eclectic
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in the same patterns, or exhausted from trying to “figure it out” on your own. Maybe anxiety keeps you up at night replaying conversations. Maybe you feel disconnected in your relationships but don’t know why. Or maybe you’re high-functioning on the outside while quietly struggling inside. Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some days, you may need practical tools to calm your racing thoughts or manage stress. Other days, you may want to understand why certain situations hit so deeply or why the same relationship patterns keep repeating. We adjust based on what you need most in that moment. Our work focuses on helping you feel more grounded, more clear, and more in control of your emotional world, not just temporarily, but in a lasting way. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. When you’re ready to stop carrying it alone, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
You may notice the same struggles showing up again and again, in relationships, at work, or in how you talk to yourself. You might wonder, “Why does this keep happening?” or “Why do I react so strongly?” Sometimes the roots of today’s stress go deeper than we realize. Together, we’ll gently explore the patterns, experiences, and emotional themes that may be shaping your current life. Not to blame the past, but to understand it, so it no longer controls you. As you gain insight, many clients begin to feel less reactive, more self-compassionate, and more intentional in their choices. The goal isn’t just short-term coping, it’s lasting change at the core. If you’re ready to understand yourself in a deeper way and break old patterns, I’m here to support you.
Psychodynamic
Psychodynamic therapy allows us to slow down and look beneath the surface. Together, we notice recurring themes, emotional triggers, and relational patterns that may feel familiar but difficult to change. By bringing these patterns into awareness, clients often begin to experience greater clarity, self-compassion, and emotional freedom. I approach this work with curiosity and care. Rather than rushing toward quick solutions, we create space to understand the deeper “why” behind your experiences. This often leads to meaningful, lasting change, not just symptom relief, but transformation at the core level.
Narrative
You may be carrying a quiet story about yourself, “I’m too sensitive,” “I always mess things up,” “I’m not enough.” Over time, those stories can start to feel like facts. In our work together, we’ll look at where those beliefs came from and whether they still deserve to lead your life. Instead of seeing anxiety, depression, or conflict as who you are, we’ll separate you from the problem and begin identifying the strengths and resilience that have been there all along. Many clients find this process freeing, like stepping out of a script they didn’t realize they were following. If you’re ready to rewrite the story in a way that reflects who you truly are, not just what you’ve been through, I would be honored to work with you.
