New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes healing happens when we slow down and reconnect with ourselves. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach blends evidence-based therapies like CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing with grounding, mindfulness, and experiential work. I focus on practical tools you can use in real life, not just insight. My goal is to help you feel steady, confident, and more aligned with who you want to be.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a space to slow down and settle in. We’ll talk about what brought you here and what you hope might feel different in your life. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels safe for you. I’ll ask questions to understand your experiences and strengths, and you’re welcome to ask me anything. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and a little more grounded. It’s the first step toward change, and you don’t have to carry it alone.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is creating a grounded, steady space where clients feel safe to be honest. I balance warmth with structure, offering both emotional support and practical tools that extend beyond session. My integrative, experiential approach blends evidence-based therapies with mindfulness and nature- or food-centered practices when appropriate.I focus on helping clients move from insight to real-life change, supporting shifts in patterns, emotional regulation, and daily habits so they feel more centered and confident.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are thoughtful, often high-functioning individuals who feel overwhelmed or disconnected internally. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, work stress, attachment wounds, or major life transitions and are ready to understand their patterns rather than repeat them. I work best with those open to deeper reflection and experiential approaches, including mindfulness, nature-based practices, gardening, or mindful cooking. If you’re ready to slow down and make steady, meaningful change, we’ll likely work well together.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility. Rather than fighting or suppressing difficult thoughts and emotions, we work on changing the relationship to them. I support clients in identifying their core values and taking meaningful action even when discomfort is present. This approach is especially helpful for anxiety, rumination, and feeling stuck.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With CBT, I help clients recognize patterns between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We examine unhelpful thinking patterns and work toward more balanced, realistic perspectives. I use CBT in a practical way, helping clients apply skills outside of sessions so they can experience measurable change in daily life.
Experiential Therapy
Experiential work is central to my practice. I incorporate grounding, mindfulness, nature-based elements, and food-based experiences to help clients move from insight into lived experience. This may include mindful cooking, sensory awareness, and using nourishment as a reflection of self-care and values. These practices support emotional processing in a more embodied and practical way.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to support clients who feel ambivalent about change. Rather than pushing or directing, I help clients explore their own reasons for growth. This approach strengthens intrinsic motivation and builds confidence in their ability to move forward.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I integrate solution-focused strategies to help clients identify strengths, resources, and past successes. We focus on what is already working and build from there. This approach is especially useful when clients feel overwhelmed and need clarity and direction.
