Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Texas. I received my undergraduate degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University, and my master's degree in Counseling from St. Edward's University. I am a relationship specialist and I serve individuals and couples who are looking to understand themselves and their relationships better. Then we get to work making adjustments in their perspectives and behaviors so that their relationships become more healthy, peaceful and rewarding.
I know that coming to counseling can be a daunting experience so In our first session, I will try to make it as comfortable and non-threatening as I can. You can expect in the first session that we will spend some time getting to know each other. But, I will also want to focus on understanding why you're here, so that I can form our plan of action.
Having worked with many clients who are depressed, anxious or dissatisfied with their lives, I've learned to create an environment that feels safe while we uncover areas that need adjustments or change. I tend to use humor in session, as it's appropriate, because I believe that laughter is healing.
I love working with professionals who are learning to manage their careers and their personal lives. In our work we uncover areas of their lives and, specifically, relationships that may be interfering with the joy and satisfaction that they desire. Then we get to work understanding why we do the things we do and also understanding how to change the things that aren't working.
Attachment-based
I believe that the quality of our relationships directly impacts the quality of our lives. Therefore, I help clients discover how experiences they had early in life impacts how they relate to people now. With that information we can create lasting and satisfying relationships now.
Christian Counseling
I incorporate christian principles, to the degree that the client desires, in sessions which provides a lens for us to look through as we explore what is and isn't working in their life.
