I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in North Carolina, bringing over six years of dedicated experience in the healthcare field, most of which has focused on mental health. With academic training from Duke University and East Carolina University, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. My approach is grounded in empathy, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to helping each person navigate their own unique mental health journey. Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients facing anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, disruptive behaviors, personality disorders and many more. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to take that first step toward healing. But you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. I bring deep empathy to every interaction, and many of my clients have shared that my presence has a calming, reassuring effect. My goal is to help you feel more hopeful about the future and more connected to your inner strength. Let’s take this journey together toward healing, growth, and renewed well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. You’ll have space to share what’s been going on in your life, what brought you here, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your mental health history, current concerns, and any goals you may have. There’s no pressure to have all the answers, this is a conversation, not an interrogation. You can expect: A calm, supportive environment where you can speak freely and feel heard. A comprehensive assessment to help guide your personalized care plan. Time to ask questions about therapy, medication, or anything else on your mind. A collaborative approach. We’ll work together to decide what feels right for you. You don’t need to prepare anything special. Just come as you are. Whether you’re feeling nervous, uncertain, or hopeful, know that you’ll be met with empathy, respect, and care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my practice apart is the deep empathy I bring to every session. I don’t just treat symptoms. I listen, connect, and walk alongside you with genuine care. My clients often tell me they feel calmer and more grounded after we talk, and that sense of safety is the foundation for meaningful healing. Compassion-Driven Care I approach each person with warmth, respect, and curiosity. I believe that healing begins when you feel truly seen and understood. Not judged or rushed. Whether you're navigating anxiety, mood swings, psychosis, or complex personality dynamics, I meet you where you are and help you move forward at your own pace. Evidence-Based, Personalized Treatment I draw from a range of proven therapeutic methods including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy tailored to your unique needs. I integrate clinical expertise with a human touch, ensuring that your care plan reflects both science and soul. Holistic and Collaborative Mental health is deeply personal, and I believe in working together to find what works best for you. I consider the whole person, your background, values, relationships, and goals and invite you to be an active participant in your healing journey. Real Results and Relief My clients often report: Feeling more emotionally regulated and resilient Gaining clarity and insight into their patterns Experiencing fewer symptoms and improved daily functioning Building stronger relationships and self-esteem

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with people from all walks of life, including: children, adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, or mood instability Those experiencing psychotic symptoms or struggling with reality-based thinking Individuals with personality disorders seeking greater emotional regulation and interpersonal connection People dealing with disruptive behaviors or intense emotional responses that affect daily life. Clients who feel stuck, misunderstood, or exhausted by their mental health journey and want compassionate, nonjudgmental support. Whether you're newly exploring mental health care or have been on this path for a while, I offer a safe, calming space where you can feel more hopeful and less alone.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I integrate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in a way that honors your lived experience and emotional safety. SFBT encourages hope and forward movement by focusing on your strengths and goals. Together, we’ll create a healing space where you feel supported, seen, and empowered.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I blend techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to create a personalized approach that fits your unique needs. CBT helps us gently uncover and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, while SFBT focuses on your strengths, both guiding you toward clear goals and practical, empowering solutions. Together, we’ll build a path forward that feels both meaningful and achievable.

Motivational Interviewing

Through motivational interviewing, I create a supportive space where you can explore your goals, work through uncertainty, and uncover the motivation you need to make lasting, positive changes

Supportive

Supportive psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes emotional support, validation, and practical guidance rather than deep analysis or behavioral restructuring. It’s especially helpful for individuals navigating acute stress, chronic mental illness, or life transitions like grief, job loss, relationship breakdown and many more.
