With more than 30 years in mental health, I offer a caring and comprehensive approach to help you reach your goals in a safe and supportive space. My journey has shaped me into someone with genuine warmth and compassion, which I love to share with others. We can start this journey together, and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way. My style is client-focused, drawing on your strengths and using techniques like DBT, CBT, and ACT.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and discuss the challenges you’re facing. From there, we’ll put together a personalized treatment plan to support your growth and address your unique needs. My approach is flexible, adapting to what works best for you while offering understanding and effective care.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I’ve been through many challenges in life and learned how valuable it is to open up, heal, and welcome support from others. While asking for help can feel tough, it’s always worth it—you matter.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in treating depression, BPD, eating disorders, PTSD, postpartum depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I also have experience working with older adults and understand that aging brings unique challenges, from health changes to emotional shifts.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
My work with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and in residential facilities for youth has provided me with significant insights and skills. I've found that we all face challenges, and employing DBT techniques can greatly assist in navigating these obstacles.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I will equip you with the tools necessary to foster self-awareness through compassion, challenge negative thoughts, learn reframing techniques, and begin a daily practice.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
In my practice, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as I find that mindfulness and behavioral activation contribute to enhancing clients' psychological flexibility. I hold the conviction that pursuing personal values and fostering positive behaviors, while effectively managing difficult thoughts, emotions, or sensations, is essential for growth.
Child Parent Psychotherapy
I can help you learn how to validate your child and navigate conflicts in a manner that is understanding and respectful to both parties.
Compassion Focused
I am truly sincere and authentic, and I can help you use the tools of self-compassion to promote growth and healing from past experiences.
