With more than 30 years in mental health, I offer a caring and comprehensive approach to help you reach your goals in a safe and supportive space. My journey has shaped me into someone with genuine warmth and compassion, which I love to share with others. We can start this journey together, and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way. My style is client-focused, drawing on your strengths and using techniques like DBT, CBT, and ACT.
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and discuss the challenges you’re facing. From there, we’ll put together a personalized treatment plan to support your growth and address your unique needs. My approach is flexible, adapting to what works best for you while offering understanding and effective care.
I’ve been through many challenges in life and learned how valuable it is to open up, heal, and welcome support from others. While asking for help can feel tough, it’s always worth it—you matter.
I believe in supporting people through tough transitions, trauma, and major life changes, helping those dealing with depression, anxiety, and other challenges. I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to focus on themselves, discover their values and goals, and commit to treatment with follow-through. My goal is to help them create a life worth living—going beyond just surviving to truly thriving, despite the obstacles they face, while learning to heal from the past.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Working with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in residential youth facilities and leading adult groups has given me valuable insights and skills. I’ve realized that everyone faces challenges, and using DBT techniques can be a big help in tackling them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ll give you the tools to build self-awareness with compassion, challenge negative thoughts, learn how to reframe them, and start a daily growth practice.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
In my practice, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as I find that mindfulness and behavioral activation contribute to enhancing clients' psychological flexibility. I hold the conviction that pursuing personal values and fostering positive behaviors, while effectively managing difficult thoughts, emotions, or sensations, is essential for growth.
