About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for teens, young adults, anyone navigating life-transitions, understanding identity, and emotional wellness. I offer affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and those seeking clarity, growth, and healing. I utilize CBT predominantly and believe in action-oriented care. It is important to work together as a team moving forward together through this journey. My experience is primarily with adolescents working in the home with their family, the school setting, and outpatient setting. I am passionate about empowering my clients to be their own agent of change in their life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we review your intake paperwork and I ask any clarifying questions I may have. I explain to you my methods in session and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have for me. In session, I remind you that you are allowed to disagree and provide your own thoughts and opinions. We agree upon goals and plan for the next appointment!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am direct and transparent about the therapeutic process. In addition, I am highly collaborative. I believe in your power and ability to create the change you want.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone struggling to navigate difficult transitions in their lives. This could be entering or graduating high school, going to college, changing careers, or being uncertain about what their next steps should be in their life. Being motivated for change is helpful but not necessary, I am here to help you find that. My ideal client wants to create a better life for themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I utilize CBT to help clients explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected. Together, we identify patterns of thinking that be unhelpful and keep you stuck. It is not just about insight, it is about making meaningful action-oriented change.

Existential

I believe that exploring life's deeper questions such as identity, purpose, freedom, and connection in a space that allows you to reflection on what matters to you. Especially during transition, uncertainty, and change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is woven into my work as a way for clients to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with themselves. We practice noticing our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgement and building awareness. This allows you to create space for choice, change, and self-compassion. This is a valuable part of accepting what must be changed for the better.

Gender-affirming therapy

In session, it is important to validate a person's lived experience, gender identity and expression. To freely explore one's identity and experiences.
