Antonio Nunez
Maybe you've been handling things on your own for a long time. From the outside, you may even seem like you're doing fine, but something doesn't feel right. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, frustrated, or simply tired of dealing with the same problems over and over. Career changes, relationship difficulties, separation or divorce, becoming a parent, changes in family roles, or other life transitions can leave you questioning what's next. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My approach is collaborative, straightforward, and practical. Together, we'll work to understand what's keeping you stuck and develop strategies that can help you create meaningful change in your everyday life.
I hold licenses as a Clinical Social Worker and a Marriage and Family Therapist, both granted through 15 years of professional practice in Florida.
Many of the people I work with are used to handling things on their own but have reached a point where something isn't working anymore. They may be navigating stress, relationship difficulties, career or family changes, or simply feeling stuck. They want to better understand what's happening, make practical changes, and feel more confident about what comes next.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy and what you'd like to be different. You don't need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. I'll ask questions to better understand what you've been experiencing, answer any questions you have, and we'll begin identifying what you'd like to work toward. My goal is for you to leave the first session with a clearer sense of where we can go from here.
Strengths
My style is collaborative, straightforward, and practical. I'll help you look beneath the surface, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop strategies you can use outside of therapy. I believe insight matters, but therapy should also help you make meaningful changes in your everyday life.
Ideal clients
Many of the people I work with are used to handling things on their own but have reached a point where something isn't working anymore. They may feel overwhelmed, stressed, frustrated, or stuck, or they may be navigating relationship difficulties, career changes, separation or divorce, changes in family roles, or other life transitions. They're looking to better understand themselves, gain a different perspective, and develop practical ways to move forward. You don't need to have everything figured out or even know exactly what you want from therapy before we begin.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We'll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another and identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or keeping you stuck. We'll then develop practical strategies for challenging unhelpful thinking and responding differently to difficult situations.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Rather than focusing only on what's wrong, we'll also identify what's already working, clarify what you'd like to change, and develop practical steps for moving toward your goals.
