First session
Starting therapy is an important step toward caring for your well-being. It’s normal to feel hopeful, nervous, or unsure about what to expect. The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, supportive connection.
Strengths
In my resilient toolkit, you'll find an array of resiliency-focused approaches for a variety of circumstances. Here are just a few examples: Individuals struggling with substance use disorders (SUDs): assess the severity of the addiction, identify co-occurring mental health disorders, and evaluate the individual's readiness for change. Help clients navigate the continuum of care, including detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare support. Collaboration with medical professionals to provide medicated assisted treatment when appropriate. Equip clients with relapse prevention strategies. Incorporate holistic approaches like mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and polyvagel therapy to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of recovery. Additionally, another clinical strength of mine is providing therapy services to individuals with developmental delays and family members. Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and promoting the maximum potential of individuals by addressing their unique developmental challenges and supporting their overall well-being.
