New to Grow
Hi there! My name is Amy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals feel supported during difficult seasons of life. I work with clients experiencing grief, stress, and emotional overwhelm, using a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to move forward in ways that feel right for them.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. I’ll ask some background questions to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions about therapy, my approach, and what working together might look like. We’ll move at your pace and focus on creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and respected.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in welcoming all parts of your experience. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences intersect, helping you build self-understanding, resilience, and trust in yourself. I provide inclusive, affirming space for people of all identities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with adult women navigating life transitions-whether that includes changes in relationships, identity, health, grief and loss, or simply feeling disconnected from who you once were. Many of the women I support find themselves at a crossroads, feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or ready for something to shift but unsure where to begin.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have a few years of experience implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in practice, using it to help clients recognize the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I apply CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral interventions, and skills development in a collaborative and goal-oriented manner. I tailor CBT strategies to each client’s needs, focusing on practical tools that promote insight, coping, and sustainable change.
Grief Therapy
have a few years of experience providing grief therapy to individuals experiencing various forms of loss. I support clients by normalizing the grieving process, facilitating emotional expression, and helping them navigate adjustment and meaning-making following loss. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to each individual’s unique grief experience.
