(she/her)
Hello, my name is Gladis, and I am here to support you. Do you feel like you're carrying a heavy burden that's weighing you down? Have you ever had a difficult experience that you never shared with anyone, especially during childhood? Maybe it's been a struggle to cope with mental health issues like addiction, depression, or anxiety, and you think it could be linked to something that happened to you when you were younger?. I specialize in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and my expertise is in treating childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Together, we can navigate various forms of trauma, such as grief, loss, divorce, separation, domestic violence, and emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. By working with me, you can gain a deeper understanding of how these experiences have impacted you, both emotionally and physically. This knowledge can help you regain control over your reactions and behaviors and begin the healing process. I hold an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University. Additionally, I am certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Managing and Adapting Practice, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Parenting Programs.
From our first session, I will create a safe, non-judgmental space in which you will feel listened to, respected, and not rushed. You will learn the different approaches, or my style of therapy I use to help you cope with life's challenges, and make meaningful changes in your life.
As a bilingual (Spanish/English) clinician with extensive experience serving diverse communities, I bring a compassionate and empathetic approach to help those who have suffered from grief and loss, domestic violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect as children. I believe in providing a safe and nurturing environment where my clients can heal and move forward with their lives. I work closely with each individual to create a personalized plan that meets their specific needs and supports their goals. As someone who has personally experienced trauma and the healing power of therapy, I understand firsthand the profound impact of traumatic experiences on our perceptions of ourselves, others, and the world around us. Let’s work together to overcome these challenges and rediscover your inner strength and resilience.
I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly those navigating the lasting impact of childhood trauma. Many of the clients I support come with deep questions about their identity, struggle with trust and safety in relationships, or carry a persistent sense of shame, guilt, or emotional numbness. They may feel stuck—emotionally, relationally, or even physically—despite knowing they want more from life. My approach is especially well-suited for people who are ready to explore the root causes of their pain, not just manage symptoms. Whether you’re dealing with complex trauma (C-PTSD), relational trauma, or the lingering effects of emotionally unavailable or abusive caregiving, I offer a trauma-informed, compassionate space to reconnect with yourself and build a sense of inner safety. Clients I work with are often thoughtful, insightful, and motivated to heal—though they may also feel overwhelmed, guarded, or uncertain about where to begin. Wherever you are on your healing journey, we move at your pace, with your story honored and your goals in focus.

This being my first exploration into mental health therapy, I am so happy that I am seeing Gladis. She has such a lovely, warm personality and has a ton of knowledge on why/how trauma frames our mindset. From day 1, she has made sure that I come away from sessions with something to work on, while having solutions to help regulate difficult emotions. She makes me feel safe, heard and cared about. I highly suggest working with her, especially if trauma is present in your background.
