Hello, My name is Mayra. I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, fluent in both English and Spanish, with over 17 years of mental health experience. I am passionate about helping individuals learn effective strategies to manage stress, anxiety, trauma, communication issues, relationship conflicts, divorce, and grief/loss. Although taking the first steps toward therapy can be intimidating, the benefits can be profound. Throughout my career, I have provided clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds with individual therapy. In 2005, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child Development from California State University, Northridge, and my Master’s of Social Work degree from USC in 2007.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, create a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I work collaboratively with my clients and empower them to access their own strengths. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution focused, Trauma Focused, Strength-Based, as well as mindfulness as methods and tools in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that my biggest strength is my ability to connect with my clients. My niche is working with individuals who are struggling with divorce, grief/loss, stress, communication issues, relationship conflicts, and Trauma. I am passionate about helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their goals, and I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where my clients can thrive.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

What excites me most is when clients begin to make connections between their past experiences and their present struggles, using those insights to foster change. Seeing clients become more empowered, resilient, and self-compassionate over time is incredibly rewarding. Even small shifts in perspective or behavior can have a profound impact on their overall well-being, and being part of that process is what makes the work so fulfilling.
