Hello and welcome, My name is Mayra. I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, fluent in both English and Spanish, with over 17 years of experience in the mental health field. I’m passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and discover effective strategies for managing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, communication struggles, divorce, and grief. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming or even intimidating but you’re not alone in this. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of working with individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I value each person’s unique story and am committed to tailoring therapy to meet your specific needs and goals. Taking the first step is often the hardest, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you on your path toward healing and growth.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous or unsure. During our first session, my primary goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported as we begin to build a therapeutic relationship. The first session is just the beginning of a journey we’ll take together and you’re not expected to figure everything out in one meeting. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe that my biggest strength is my ability to connect with my clients. I am passionate about helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their goals, and I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where my clients can thrive.
What excites me most as a therapist is witnessing those moments when clients begin to make meaningful connections between their past experiences and present struggles. These insights often serve as powerful turning points—opening the door to healing, growth, and lasting change.
