In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During first session, I like to introduce myself and complete a initial assessment to get to know your needs. Then, I ask questions to get to know you and get started on thinking about therapy goals! First session is more about getting to know you and your needs. Durante la primer sesión hablamos un poco para conocernos. También completo un asesoramiento inicial para poder saber sus necesidades y síntomas. Después seguimos hablado y formamos un plan de terapia.

My ideal client is someone who is willing to work and be ok with feeling uncomfortable at times. Will work at your pace. Therapy is a safe space to explore, and it's a Judgment free zone. However, I can only help if you're open and honest! My cliente ideal es alguien que esté listo para trabajar. Algunas cosas van a ser difícil y se va a sentir incómodo(a) pero eso es parte del proceso. Trabajaremos a su paso y level de confort. La terapia es una zona libre de exploración sin jucio. ACT is a form of therapy that focuses on the present. The core values are acceptance, cognitive defusion, self-as-context, present-moment awareness, values, and committed aaction. It allows us to accept the things we cannot change.

CBT focuses on changing feelings, thoughts, and emotions. All influence one another and changing the way you think can also change your life. CBT helps identify and challenge unhealthy thoughts.

Trauma-Informed Practice is a strengths-based approach. Used to understand and respond to trauma on people's lives.
