New to Grow
I’m a licensed counselor who enjoys helping adults and others navigate anxiety, life transitions, mental health, and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you make meaningful progress at your own pace. Specifically, I worked with many individuals navigating addiction recovery or difficult life transitions. Also, my approach combines evidence-based methods and, if desired, Christian and faith-based principles, helping clients find healing for long term change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you and understand what’s been going on. Collaboratively, we’ll identify what feels most important to focus on first and set a few goals to guide our work.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I bring both clinical experience and faith-based insight to my work. Having a background in ministry and counseling helps me connect with people who want to grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Whether I’m working with professionals managing stress, individuals in recovery, or families navigating conflict, my focus is on helping clients gain clarity, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults who want to better understand themselves and make real, lasting changes. Many of my clients deal with ADHD, anxiety, or stress from trying to juggle too much. Some are also looking to reconnect with their faith or values as they work through challenges. My role is to help you find clarity, create structure that works for you, and build confidence in your ability to grow.
Motivational Interviewing
I’ve used Motivational Interviewing with clients who feel unsure about decision making as it relates to, substance use, career change, and relationship issues. I focus on reflective listening and open-ended questions to help them connect with their own motivation for change.
Gestalt
I’ve used Gestalt techniques to help clients become more aware of their present thoughts and emotions, especially when they’re holding onto unresolved feelings or unfinished business. I might use empty-chair work or mindfulness-based dialogue to help them express what’s been left unsaid and move toward emotional resolution.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve used CBT extensively with clients struggling with anxiety and depression. I focus on helping them identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while building more balanced coping strategies.
