First session
In our first session, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and discussing the challenges you're facing. I’ll listen closely and ask questions to understand your unique situation. Together, we’ll develop a plan for how we can work together to achieve your goals.
Strengths
With seven years of experience working with young men, I have developed a proven approach to helping clients navigate difficult situations. My strength lies in helping clients gain insight, develop practical skills, and create actionable plans that lead to long-term improvement.
Ideal clients
I love working with young men who are navigating major life transitions, such as career changes, relationship shifts, or personal growth. My clients are motivated to improve their emotional well-being but may need support in finding clarity, healing, and effective coping strategies.
Treatment methods
Motivational Interviewing
Help clients find their own motivations for positive change by resolving ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a collaborative and empathetic process that uses four basic techniques: open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summaries. Motivational interviewing is based on the spirit of partnership and evocation, meaning that the counselors respect the clients' expertise and resources.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Basics of mindfulness include: Awareness: Focusing attention on one’s inner processes and experiences, such as the present moment. Acceptance: Observing and accepting thoughts without judgment or avoidance. Intention: Using the heart as a compass to direct and reflect hopes and values. Attention: Training and grounding the mind in the present moment. Attitude: Paying attention with compassion and curiosity.
