Hi! I'm glad you're here. Therapy can be a wonderful asset to building and maintaining a happy, fulfilling life. I strive for every one of my clients to achieve this, you deserve it! You'll find genuineness, confidentiality, and a judgement free zone here where we'll explore how you can live your best life. Try it, you're worth it! I help clients work to build the lives they wish to have, including identifying symptoms and triggers, building/increasing effective coping skills, improving their relationships, boosting self esteem, and managing stress more effectively. I enjoy (and have a lot of experience!) working with teens and adults, young and old, assisting them in navigating the world in which they/we live in. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques throughout the process, with a heavy, initial focus on connection and building a trusting, supportive relationship with my client. Connection is key!
For our first session, my main goal is to learn about you, why you're seeking therapy, and what you want to gain from the experience. I want to get to know you, and allow you to get to know me! We will work together to explore your needs, identify symptoms, and create a customized plan to work through in upcoming sessions. Many clients report feeling nervous before and during their first sessions, this is normal, but usually by the end of the session they have opened up and feel much more comfortable with the process.
I have over 12 years of experience working with teens, college students, and adults in areas of anxiety, self esteem, relationships, anger, grief, and depression. I meet my clients where they are, without judgment, to help them improve functioning and feel better! Tough times? I hold the space for you. Triumphant times? I'm there to celebrate.
I enjoy working with teens and young adults (middle school, high school, college age students) with challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief and loss, and anger. Being a teen or young adult in this world can come with a lot of pressure, decisions, expectations, and varying avenues to take in life, I love helping my clients learn to work through their challenges as well as develop and/or build on their life goals, and actively work to achieve them.

My graduate program was based on Rogerian therapy and one of many reasons I chose the program as it best fit with my view of therapy and the type of therapist I wanted to be. Rogerian, also known as person centered therapy, is a non-authoritative type of therapy, where the therapeutic alliance is key, along with unconditional positive regard, empathic understanding, and genuineness. No room for judgement in this space, only trust, compassion, support, and working towards healing.
