New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Maine, Missouri, Oregon, and Washington with over 12 years of experience. I work with individuals navigating ADHD, stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to share your thoughts and experiences openly. I believe seeking therapy is a brave step toward growth and healing, and I am committed to empowering you with the tools and strategies you need to build a more balanced, fulfilling life.
In Our First Session Together, Here’s What You Can Expect Our first session will serve as an introduction where I’ll take the time to learn more about the challenges that brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll explore your goals and begin creating a personalized plan to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
The Biggest Strengths I Bring Into Our Sessions With over 12 years of professional counseling experience, I bring a strong foundation of evidence-based approaches and practical strategies to support your growth. My ability to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space allows clients to feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work toward their goals.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward. My ideal clients are those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, or challenges with self-esteem, motivation, and confidence. I especially enjoy working with people who are open to exploring new coping skills, building self-compassion, and developing healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges. Whether you’re seeking relief from daily stressors, struggling with relationships, or striving for personal growth, I am here to support and guide you toward your goals.
I have over 12 years of experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in clinical practice. I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build coping skills to reduce anxiety and related symptoms. I incorporate psychoeducation, skill-building, and practical exercises to support clients in applying these strategies to real-life situations and improving overall functioning.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and talk about their strengths, build confidence, and increase motivation for change. I have been incorporating this approach into my therapy practice for over 12 years. By using MI, I support clients in identifying their own values and abilities, which empowers them to make progress toward their treatment goals.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build acceptance of their current situation while learning how to make meaningful changes aligned with their values. Through ACT, I encourage clients to develop psychological flexibility, practice mindfulness, and strengthen their commitment to actions that support their goals. I have been incorporating this approach into my therapy practice for the past 7 years.
I incorporate psychoeducation into therapy to teach clients coping skills, increase their understanding of symptoms, and provide strategies for managing challenges in daily life. I have been using psychoeducation as part of my therapeutic work for the past 12 years to empower clients with knowledge and tools that support their progress and overall well-being.
I incorporate Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) into my practice to help clients develop self-compassion, reduce self-criticism, and build emotional resilience. I have been using CFT techniques for the past 12 years to support clients in creating a kinder, more balanced relationship with themselves, which enhances their overall coping and mental well-being.
